Poetic Flash Fiction in 51 Syllables.
What will you write?
I took the prompt words from
Three Word Wednesday
3WW CCCXIII
Brag, icy, and polite.
Here's mine:
No need to brag about it, said Dawn when her pet robot crashed the car.
I know it was icy, Dave chipped in, but the Bat-mobile is unique.
In his polite voice Dawn's robot said, okay, I'll pay to get it fixed.

Dave and Dawn are back in fine style! Nice one :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, and if anyone wants more there's a few on my nanoamerico.blogspot.com bloggage.
DeleteHey ..I think you are writing about Dave King! Good to see you again.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you too Rall!
DeleteVery cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI suppose this can be described as 'ice cold humour'. I like it!
ReplyDeletePhew, I'm freezing now!
DeleteMany thanks for playing along.
Great fun. I like it. Hope you enjoy the eBooks. To answer your question, I'm not charging as I'm trying to build up an audience - the main problem with getting publishers interested in me. The eBooks consist of short pieces and not my main books.
ReplyDeleteSounds good Tony, I'll look forward to reading them.
DeleteThe reassurance from the robot was clearly programmed in to relax you after a crash. Having a pet robot rather than a useful one was yet another indulgence that made their lifestyle seem hedonistic.
ReplyDeleteOld Egg, you're bang on!
DeleteLots of human wit tucked in the robotic hinges ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jae!
DeleteHaha great :)
ReplyDeleteHi Cakey, here's something you might like - Batman and Alice
ReplyDeleteClever wordplay there with deft use of the TWW prompts. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I really enjoyed reading your story this week.
DeleteCheers! I like the way you get things done...
ReplyDeleteNice writing. Short and sensible.
